Cats
Cats, unlike dogs, are natural loners. In a wild or feral situation, cats will congregate around an area high in resources such as food or shelter, but do not form the same social pack structure as dogs. Because of this attachment to an area, as opposed to individuals, cats can become highly territorial and often struggle when they move house, or another animal is introduced. This inflexibility in their behaviour can also lead to problems with their relationships with humans. This is often shown as aggression or indoor urination. Understanding the natural triggers which cause stress in cats is essential to the success of a remedial training programme.
