Training Classes
Basic Training – A training class with a little bit of everything! We look at some basic obedience work such as sit/down/stand, heelwork, stays and so on but also some useful things for everyday life including handling, trust exercises and teaching patience. This class covers the things that all good dogs should know!
Walkies Training – A training class which focuses on outdoor behaviours. The first half of the class focuses on lead walking tips and exercises including heelwork, getting and maintaining your dog’s attention, gateway procedures and so on. The second half of the class focuses on recalls and we have a secure area in which we can practice this off-lead.
Socialisation – One of our most popular and important training classes! We look at how to greet other dogs appropriately, being calm around other dogs, the ‘leave it’ command and building trust and confidence. The last part of the class consists of some fully supervised off-lead play, during which we practice recalling dogs out of play (one of the most difficult challenges owner’s face!) and develop your understanding of doggy body language and social behaviour.
Advanced Training – A training class for those looking to challenge their dogs and improve their overall control! We look at some more difficult exercises including a lot of distance control and off-lead heelwork.
